NanoMaterials, Ltd. Israel, a producer of nanotech products, was named a prize winner in the Network of Automotive Excellence Innovation Award 2010 competition (NoAE).
NanoMaterials Ltd named “Nanotechnology Company of the Year 2010” by the Israel Ministry of Industry & Trade, Office of the Chief Scientist and MATIMOP (Israeli Industry Center for R&D).
Out of 80 competitors in the Israeli nanotech market, NanoMaterials Ltd was named in the Top 10, according to The Marker, a premier news source on High-tech in Israel. NanoMaterials is pleased to announce that it's product NanoLub, the world's first commercial nanotechnology-based solid lubricant, has received the Nano 50TMAward for 2006. The Nano 50 Awards, presented by Nanotech Briefs magazine, recognizes the top 50 technologies, products, and innovators that have significantly impacted the state of the art in nanotechnology. Nanotech Briefs is a digital monthly magazine from the publishers of NASA Tech Briefs that highlights engineering breakthroughs in nanotechnology and MEMS. Nano 50 nominations were judged by a panel of nanotechnology experts.
NanoMaterials has been selected for the InnovationWORLD 21. This prestigious award recognizes the 21 top companies, out of hundreds profiled by InnovationWORLD, that combine exceptionally promising products with solid financial and operational qualities. Funded Projects
NanoMaterials is part of the joint project AddNano, which is partially funded by European Commission within the 7th Framework Programme (NMP-2008-1.2.1) and its overall objective is to overcome the technological barriers involved in the development of large scale market introduction of a new generation of lubricants incorporating inorganic fullerenes and other nano- materials.
The NES Consortium is interested in cooperation with other Research Groups, Institutes and suppliers of inorganic and carbon nanotubes, with the aim of contributing knowledge in the field and of improving the world we live in. The Consortium was founded in 2009 as part of Israel's MAGNET program. It is supported by the Office of the Chief Scientist in Israel's Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor. The vision of the Consortium is to develop new, game-changing applications in various technological fields, based on the innovative use of nanotubes. The NES Consortium comprises 13 Israeli companies and 11 Israeli academic groups. Among members are researchers from each of the leading universities in Israel, as well as from a broad range of companies -- from large public companies to young startups - who are currently working in nanotechnologies to develop unique applications. The European Commission Grants €11.6 Million to Research NanoMaterials' Nanoparticles by a Pan- European Consortium. The project, named FOREMOST will research new ways of introducing ApNano Materials' inorganic fullerene nanoparticles into surface coatings and lubricants. The inorganic fullerenes have unique friction and wear reducing properties. The four and half year, pan-European project, whose total budget is €18.9 million, is funded by the European Union's Sixth Framework Program for Nanotechnologies and Nanosciences.
