NanoMaterials Ltd. is a privately owned company established in 2002. The Company was granted an exclusive license by Yeda Research and Development Co. Ltd., the commercial branch of the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel, to manufacture, commercialize and sell unique nanotechnology products based on a new class of inorganic nanostructures.
The Institute's Nanomaterials Synthesis Group, headed by Professor Reshef Tenne, was the first to prove that various inorganic compounds could also be synthesized into fullerene-like structures.
NanoMaterials’ flagship product, NanoLub , represents the first commercial line of inorganic lubricant additives that is based on tungsten disulfide (WS2) fullerene-like spherical nanoparticles. NanoLub is supplied as an oil concentrate, paste and powder for enhancing the performance of lubricating oils greases, and dry lubricants, in coatings and for composite materials.
